Tanonov A. V. Artistic autobiography.
Tanonov Anton Valeriyevich was born in Nijny Novgorod, 1977, Russia. At the age of 6 he started his music exercises. He graduated from the Saint-Petersburg Conservatoire, where he studied composition from professor Slonimsky S. M. Now he is a lecturer at the Instrumentation Departament of the Conservatoire.
From 1999 to 2000 he was delegated the duties of the director of School of electronic music, named after Itiro Khatoyama. He is on the stuff of song recording studio “Devyaty val” from November, 2000.
From 1996 to 2000 Tanonov regularly participated in Modern music seminars “Sound ways”. He was granted in the Byret Feastval, Germany in 1997. He won the first price at the students’, post-graduates’, young scientists’ and specialists’ Saint-Petersburg grant delivery concourse in 1999. In 2005 his opera “Khalyava” (upon one of Gogol N. V. literary work) took the third price in the young composers’ competition, arranged by Mariinsky Theatre. At autumn, 2005 Tanonov’s composition “25 Mobil prelude for symphony orchestra” was awarded the “Orchestra price” by Big Symphony Orchestra (cond. ) named after Piotr Iliyich Tchaikovsky.
